Choosing an Email Host
It's common practice to use an e-mail address associated with your own domain name, rather than using a free email service intended for personal use (for example yourbusiness@yourdomain.com, rather than yourbusiness@gmail.com).
The article below discusses some common approaches for professional email hosting alongside your Oncord website.
Host E-mail with Oncord
If you choose to host mail with Oncord, you're able to create and manage professional e-mail accounts via your Oncord Dashboard.
You can access and send mail via webmail, or configure an "e-mail client" application such as Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird.
Oncord charges per e-mail address / account. Pricing details can be found on the pricing page, within the "Additional Features" section: https://www.oncord.com/pricing/.
E-mail accounts can be managed via your Oncord Dashboard by navigating to Dashboard > Settings > Email Accounts. On this page you'll also find the server settings needed to configure mail on your devices, along with some basic troubleshooting tips.
Please note Oncord support is not able to help you configure an e-mail client or your device. If you need assistance configuring your devices, you'll need to engage an IT support provider.

Host E-mail with Microsoft 365
Microsoft offers business plans for professional email hosting. If you're familiar with Microsoft products and require a lot of storage space for mail, you should consider hosting mail with Microsoft 365: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-365/business/
Some Microsoft 365 plans bundle professional e-mail hosting alongside use of other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You'll likely pay a subscription each month, based on the number of users / mailboxes you have configured.
The storage allowance provided by Microsoft for mail is quite generous.
To host e-mail with Microsoft 365, you will need to adjust some DNS records which are provided by Microsoft. If your domain name is using Oncord's name servers, DNS is managed within Oncord by navigating to Dashboard > Settings > Domains.

To host mail externally with Google Workspace, you will need to adjust some DNS settings which are provided by Google. If your domain name is using Oncord's name servers, DNS is managed within Oncord by navigating to Dashboard > Settings > Domains.
